Armoured Mobile Shelter

1. What are the overall external dimensions of the assembled unit (Length × Width × Height)?
The assembled shelter protected firing position has the following maximum external dimensions:
Length: 3,250 mm
Width: 3,250 mm
Height: 900 mm

2. What are the internal dimensions and usable floor space?
The internal diameter of the shelter unit is 1,978 mm. The internal casing (capsule with curved side walls) (below ground level, to which the seats are attached) has a diameter of 1,972 mm and a height of 1,200 mm.

3. What is the internal height? Can personnel stand upright inside the unit?
Yes. Personnel can stand upright while performing observation and operational tasks. The standard height of the inner protective shell is 120 cm, while the effective internal height can be adjusted by varying the depth of the prepared position (trench), allowing the unit to be adapted to specific operational requirements.
 

4. The unit is designed for up to 10 soldiers. Is this capacity based on sitting only, standing only, sitting with full combat equipment, or a combination of sitting and standing?
The maximum capacity of 10 personnel is based on operational deployment with standard combat equipment. Personnel may occupy a combination of standing and seated positions depending on the mission profile.
For extended occupancy, the recommended comfortable capacity is 5–6 personnel. The standard configuration includes five integrated seats.
 

5. What are the dimensions and weight of each individual armor panel?
The shelter system consists of modular armored components designed for transportation and field assembly.
Detailed drawings showing the dimensions and weight of each component are attached to this response (Appendix Q5).
 

6. Can the individual panels be handled manually by one or two people, or is lifting equipment required?
All components are designed to be assembled manually by a two-person team. Heavy lifting equipment is not required.
However, if operational conditions and available resources permit, lifting equipment may also be used to facilitate handling and accelerate deployment.
 

7. What equipment is required for assembly and installation (crane, forklift, truck-mounted crane, or manual assembly only)?
The shelter system offers flexible deployment options.
It can be assembled manually directly at the installation site using the supplied tools, without requiring heavy lifting equipment.
Alternatively, the unit may be fully assembled in advance, transported to the deployment location, and positioned using a crane or truck-mounted crane. This significantly reduces installation time and enables rapid deployment when required.
 

8. What tools are required for assembly and disassembly?
The standard installation kit includes all tools and accessories required for assembly and disassembly.
No specialized workshop equipment is required.
 

9. Does the unit include an integrated floor, or is it installed directly on the ground?
The shelter unit does not include an integrated armored floor. It is installed in a prepared fighting position or observation post directly onto a prepared base in accordance with the installation manual.
 

10. What type of ground preparation is recommended before installation?
A circular excavation approximately 1.2 m deep (or another depth depending on operational requirements) should be prepared. The diameter should match the internal support ring, which is placed horizontally on the prepared ground.
The installation depth may be adjusted depending on the desired operating height above ground level.
 

11. What ventilation system is provided (passive or powered)?
The unit incorporates passive ventilation and is supplied with a portable powered ventilation fan, which can be used when required, particularly during prolonged occupancy or after intensive firing.
 

12. How many access doors and observation/fire ports are included, and can their configuration be customized?
The standard configuration includes one protected entrance and three protected observation/fire ports, providing all-round operational capability.
The number of doors, observation & firing ports, and other features can be customized to meet specific customer requirements.
 

13. Can you provide the available NATO certifications, codification details, and ballistic/blast test reports?
The shelter has been assigned a NATO Stock Number (NSN) through the NATO Codification System.
Assignment of the NATO codification confirms that the system has successfully undergone the required evaluation and testing procedures in accordance with the applicable standards and has been validated by the competent governmental commission.
The system has also successfully completed extensive internal testing against blast effects, fragmentation, artillery, mortar fire, cumulative threats, and FPV drone attacks.
NATO codification details, technical documentation, and available ballistic and blast test reports can be provided to qualified customers upon request and, where applicable, under confidentiality arrangements.
 

14. What optional accessories are currently available (anti-drone cage, insulation, NBC filtration, lighting, communications, camouflage, seating, etc.)?
Currently available optional equipment includes:
Anti-drone protection systems;
Camouflage net compatibility;
Fire- and phosphorus-resistant protective membrane;
Observation periscope integration;
Communications equipment integration;
Thermal insulation options;
Other customer-specific mission equipment upon request.
 

15. What is the recommended operational service life of the unit, and what maintenance is required during its lifetime?
The shelter protected firing position is designed for repeated deployment, relocation, and long-term field operation.
 

Routine maintenance consists of periodic visual inspections, cleaning, corrosion monitoring, replacement of damaged accessories when required, and inspection of fastening elements after repeated assembly and disassembly.
 

The expected service life depends on operating conditions, environmental exposure, and maintenance practices. Detailed maintenance recommendations are provided in the technical documentation.
 

Additionally, the central upper structural element incorporates a threaded socket compatible with a standard anti-tank mine. This feature is intended as a denial measure, allowing the unit to be destroyed in the event of imminent capture, preventing its use by hostile forces.
