Questions & Answers

 

• There is an important issue to know if this plant is still in operation or Not

            No. The plants are shut down in 2018 and kept under nitrogen purged condition.

• Has it been dismantled or Not ?

No not yet. Dismantling will be started soon.

• What is the current operational status?, Or requires any upgrades? in order to plan an inspection of all equipment & perhaps some test runs before finalisation of the transaction.

            Currently the plant is under retired condition. You can visit and decide your inspection requirements.

• Refining capacity?

            200,000 BBL per Day

 

• What kind of derivatives can be produced per day?

            Gasoline, Naptha, ATK, Diesel, Bitumen products, LFO/HFO etc.,

 

• Why is it being sold?

             Plants are retired as per government policy

• Condition of the Refinery and do you have current inspection Reports. We need to prove this Refinery is not scrap as pulling it down, shipping and re-building is a huge cost.

            Old Inspection reports are in archives and will be accessible only when the plant is bought.  You can use your market             

      intelligence and experience to define such requirements.

• What Maintenance needs to be done and do you have current inspection Reports?

• Do you have anyone who can disassemble and rebuild the Refinery?

             Yes we can disassemble. And rebuilding by us is possible only in the countries where we are established or can be able  

              to establish ourselves.

• Do you have anyone for training and neutering the new owners?

            No.

• How far from the port is the Refinery for transport purposes?

            Shuaiba Port is nearby with 10 KM which can be used for shipping purposes.

• If the clients come for inspection they would expect to meet with the Owners, Engineers and see all reports.

• Please let me know what needs to be provided for inspection.

            We can provide you with commercial business visas to enter kuwait. Please send your request with passport copy and degree certificate.  After entry to Kuwait, it will take one to two week to arrange for gate passes, after which you can enter the refinery to have a visual inspection. Any other detailed / elaborative inspection like NDE, Thickness survey etc.,, on the assets will be possible only after agreement is signed & payments are made.

 ANSWER : YES

 

·        Does the price include packing and transport to the shipping docks

 

ANSWER : YES. The price includes packing and loading into the container. But the buyer has to provide the container and the ship. 

 

·        Is there any Insurance or guarantee to damage incurred in dismantling

 

ANSWER : YES

 

·        What is our time frame for the project

 

ANSWER : 34 months from the date of signing the contract. 

 

·        Are there any taxes to get it out of the country

 

ANSWER : NO 

 

·        Is there land available in the UAE to rebuild it

 

ANSWER : I don't know about it. But I have the influence and contacts to provide for your buyer. But we need to sign the contract first. Which is needed to be submitted to the government of UAE to allocate land for the new refinery and discuss their terms and conditions along with the buyer team.
