The RBR-90 mm M79 "OSA" is a light, effective anti-tank weapon made of fiber-reinforced plastics.

It can be successfully used against armored vehicles, fortifications, as well as live force.

It is intended for multiple usage.

It consists of rocket launcher and rocket container.

- The hand-held rocket launcher is used against all types of armour vehicles at distance of 350 m. as well as against infantry  and fortifications at distance of 600 m.

 

- This hand-held rocket launcher is very similar in its construction and operation with the French LRAC F1. The system  M-79 is consist of the hand-held rocket launcher, container with rocket, spare tool and accessories.

 

- The container with rocket is putting on the back of the launcher (as an extension of the launcher) before the launching.

 

- The aiming is by 4x optical or mechanical sight.

 

- The firing of the rocket is performed by the firing mechanism which functions as generator for the electrical energy necessary to fire the rocket engine.

 

- The rocket projectile is with hollow charge and detonating fuse which is safety activated at impact angle of 20⁰ and higher.

 

- The fuse is with built-in self-liquidator which is self-activated after 5-7 sec. and results in self-liquidation of the rocket.

 

- Temperature usage range from -30 ⁰C to +50 ⁰C.

 

- At clash with certain target, the rocket has piezogenerator which generates an electrical impulse necessary for activating of the fuse located at the lower part of the combat head.

 

- The impulse rocket engine is into operation mode while the rocket is into the launcher and the acceleration is up to 250 m/sec.
