SUBURBAN PRESIDENTIAL ESCORT

 

 

Introduction

a) To supply and armor one (1) Chevrolet Suburban PRESIDENTIAL ESCORT SUV, USA model, OEM, FMMSS, DOT approved, supplied and armoured in accordance in accordance with the client’s specifications as listed below.

b) TACTICAL modified interior trim and RHINO LINER finish.

c) Armor from and including the firewall to and including the luggage compartment partition wall and rear access door.

d) The manufacturing process will integrate transparent and opaque armor and the vehicles structural design, to ensure that the vehicles balanced structural loads will provide optimal ballistic protection to the occupants of the vehicle.

e) No gaps are permitted between opaque armor or between opaque to transparent armor transition points. Opaque armor joining or meeting on the same plane will be overlapped.

f) Door overlaps system with a right angle spall return, meets transparent armor.

g) Interior Opaque armor will be protected with RHINO LINER spray to protect personal weapons and equipment.

h) The armoring elements will generally out of view of the interior passengers and persons outside of the vehicle.

i) The opaque materials will be of military grade SSAB ARMOX is supplied from USA stocks.

j) The transparent window armor in the cab and rear passenger compartment will be overlapped and will be of a size dimension sufficient to allow for the driver’s rear view with minimal obstruction.

k) Attachment points of armoring materials will be reinforced to meet after armoring mass to accommodate increased vibration and stress. Fixation shall preclude dislodgement by ballistic, explosive device or vehicle collision.

l) The passenger compartment ergonomics and trim will not detract from the integrity of the vehicle, or vice versa.

m) Floor protection with fire retardant materials, will cover the entire floor area and will be installed with approved attachment points to the extremities of the blast material, meeting with the vertical opaque armor.

n) Additional wiring will be installed between the cab and passenger compartment to allow the client to install additional communications equipment.

o) Access to the client’s vehicle will be restricted to Armet’s employees or authorized Government quality inspectors.

p) The client may undertake random checks of the ballistic materials and the integrity of the installation methods on his vehicle.

q) Test coupons of ballistic materials will be kept in safe storage for future inspection.

r) Quality assurance system that documents procedures and inspections that ensures verifiable consistency in quality of work performed.

s) Make available to the customer a catalogue of vehicle and armor inspection records for each vehicle produced when the vehicle is ready for its final inspection.

t) Make available to the customer all documentation including independent laboratory certification of armouring materials and will maintain such documentation for a period not to exceed 3 years following contract expiration.

u) Undertake computer modelling to ensure the centre of gravity meets with the required Norms.

v) Undertake a driving stability test to determine the dynamic road behavior of the client’s car, including acceptable stopping distances.

w) Undertake a road-handling test.

x) Vehicles will be armored in Virginia USA.

10. Limited Warranty

Factory warrants any armor related items installed, and conversion related to custom workmanship for one year, or 15,000 miles. whichever occurs first; any suspected warranty related work must be first be confirmed as being necessary by means of a technical consultation with a representative of the factory.

Warranty work to be directly covered by the factory may be performed locally only after assessment and authorization by the factory. The factory shall, upon consultation and approval, make payment for any/all repairs deemed to be of a reasonable nature by the Company.

The factory does not cover any OEM vehicle parts and components that we have not modified nor performed work on, during the armoring process. Such parts and components are the sole responsibility of the client and the vehicle’s Original Equipment Manufacturer.

The factory assumes no responsibility for damages incurred through vehicle misuse or abuse, negligence, accidental damage, or any unauthorized modifications or alterations made to the vehicle following delivery of the vehicle to the client. Under the terms of this limited warranty,

The factory shall in no way be held liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from loss of use or loss of time, inconvenience, or commercial loss resulting from the need for warranty work. This warranty covers the repair and/or replacement of warranty related items only, and any non-warranty related additional costs incurred remain the responsibility of the client.

Accessories not directly related to the armoring process (winches, lighting, antenna, shields, turrets etc.) shall be covered by the warranties of their respective manufacturers and are not included in the warranty coverage provided by this agreement. However, although the factory does not warrant these items directly in any way, we do agree to offer all reasonable assistance in obtaining service from their companies of origin. Should there be any undue difficulties with obtaining servicing of these accessories; the factory will also agree to replace them for the client at our current wholesale cost price. The client shall remain responsible for any/all shipping and handling fees or incidental costs associated with the replacement of such items, as well as the aforementioned replacement costs.

10. Vehicle maintenance program

10.1 Upon executing an agreement to purchase one or more vehicles, the factory will supply its computerized software program (VMP) for each vehicle. The program will include a printable operational manual and a list of spare parts under a one, two or three year program.
The spare parts are guaranteed to be available for ten years.
