96 MW DUAL FUEL GAS TURBINE POWER BARGE

Power barge was designed by Westinghouse Turbine Division and was partially constructed in Sabah Shipyard in 1996. The barge was never completed until 2008 when current owners completed all work and had Siemens/Westinghouse overhaul the gas turbine and balance of plant to produce what is essentially a new vessel.

Gas Turbine:

The barge is fitted with two (2) Westinghouse 251B-11 “Econopak” industrial gas turbine generator sets, of 48MW (ISO) capacity with Brush generators producing 11.5 Kv, 50 Hz, 3-Phase power. All other specifications are similar to the single 48 MW installation accompanying this outline specification including:

2 x Generators and enclosures

2 x Starting Motors (3300V, 50 Hz)

2 x Air Filter Housings

Mechanical Packages

Pipe Racks

Electrical packages including switchgear and MCCs

Generator circuit breakers (SF6)

Line-side cubicles and AVRs

ISO Phase Bus Ducts from line-side cubicles to generator circuit breakers and IOS Phase Bus Ducts from circuit breakers to step-up transformers

Transformer “Amp-Guard” switchboard for Auxiliary High Voltage

Systems fuel treatment modules and compressor wash modules

Rotor Air fin fan air coolers

Lube oil fin fan coolers

Transformers:

A switchyard is installed at the barge stern comprising two 11/132 Kv step-up transformers
