2   ARMOUR INSTALLATION SPECIFCATION:

Use of only fully proven materials for which full independent ballistic reports are available upon request, conform to the CEN NATO Class of certifications and offer the B6 level as the entry level of protection.

Armour upgrades are available to certain rounds either as complete or partial protection, details upon request.

Transparent Areas ( Ballistic Glazings )

Use of multi-layer and polycarbonate coated glazings to protect against the following rounds and all lesser threats in accordance with CEN @90° to the vertical surfaces.

Floor Protection

Use of a lightweight Aramid based fragmentation blanket system which provides the following protection.

• STANAG 2920 V50, 1.1 gram FSP @ 500mps, this has equivalency to 2 x DM51 hand grenades.

An upgrade is available to provide 1.1gram FSP protection at 600mps.

Overlaps And Spall Splash Returns

Manufacturer ensure that all ballistic materials overlap each other in all door and window apertures. In addition all door apertures have spall splash returns installed onto the overlap to prevent spall entering the cabin should an angled round hit the overlap.

Nature Of Installation:

The standard installation offered involves armouring the passenger area and leaving the rear cargo area as standard, with the installation of an armoured bulkhead ( with glazing ) behind the rear seats.

This specification saves considerable weight ( approx 350Kgs ), time for manufacture and cost. Optionally this rear cargo area can be armoured if required.

3   ENGINEERING MODIFICATIONS

Suspension:

The vehicle is fitted with a proven suspension system which raises GVW from 3200Kgs to 4000 Kgs, this involves upgrading suspension bushes, dampers and coil springs.

An upgrade is available to fit higher capacity manually adjustable dampers for extreme requirements.

Brakes:

The standard Toyota braking system has ample capacity for the GVW of 4000Kgs and retained for ease of maintenance and parts supply.

An upgrade is available to fit a high capacity braking system to the front of the vehicle for extreme requirements.

Door Hinges:

Upgraded and strengthened hinges to compensate for the increased door weights to ensure the long life and reliability of the door hinges.

4   INCLUDED SECURITY EQUIPMENT

Manual Deadbolts To Each Door ( 4 ) :

This is an internally operable bolt that supplements that standard OEM locking system which is prone to compromise under sustained attack, either ballistically or by use of crow bars etc.

Rodgard ‘Getaway’ 15Km Runflat System ( 5 off ) :

Runflat system fitted to all 4 wheels and spare to enable controlled driving of the vehicle after puncture or blowout for 15km @ 50km/hr.

Dual Optima Gel Battery System With Split Charge :

Replace standard Lead-Acid battery and install 2 Optima gel batteries that will withstand ballistic / fragmentation strikes. Split charge of both batteries, vehicle systems using primary battery, dash mounted switch to engage secondary battery if primary battery on low charge.

Automatic / Manual Underbonnet Fire Suppression System :

An automatic underbonnet extinguisher system with underbonnet sensors and manual dash mounted operation.

Inside / Outside Intercom :

System fitted to enable discrete communication between the inside and outside of the vehicle.

Ballistically Sound Door Document Slot :

A slot in the drivers door to enable the safe passing of papers at checkpoints, used in conjunction with the intercom.

Bull Bar Fitted To Front Of Vehicle :

A robust bull-bar fitted to the front of the vehicle to provide a ramming capability at low speeds to push obstructions out of the path of the vehicle.

10   TERMS OF BUSINESS

Quotation value dated 30 days.

All invoices are issued in and paid in GBP, other arrangements by request.

Our terms of business of this order are 60% with order and 40% upon completion of each vehicle.

This special protection package offers a high degree of protection against small arms fire. Absolute protection is not possible for design-related and weapons-technology reasons.

 11   EXPORT LICENCE

These vehicles will require an export licence, however we will require a simple End User Undertaking Letter in line with the requirements of UK Government,

12   VEHICLE REGISTRATION

The vehicles are supplied without registration.

13   MATERIALS TESTING

Manufacturer  has independent test reports for all materials used.

If required additional testing can be carried out at an independent firing range to verify the protection characteristics of all the materials used in the vehicle.

14   WARRANTY

The work carried out is covered by a 1 year warranty, extended warranty cover is available if required.

The base vehicle carries a 1 year / 20, 000 Toyota warranty, confirmed and underwritten by Toyota Gibraltar.

15   DELIVERY

The completed vehicles cab be shipped by air, land or sea as required as part of the delivery package,

16   IN-COUNTRY TOYOTA SERVICE SUPPORT

The Toyota base vehicle can be serviced through the service network in the country of use.

17   SPARE PARTS

A spare parts list is provided separately.

18   END USER HANDBOOK

The vehicle will be supplied with an end user handbook, the information contained will be as follows;
